Leading up to Maddie’s premiere the creative team offers a series called Exploring Medea at St. Augustine’s Waterworks on July 19, 20, and 21. These events include staged readings from Euripides’ Medea along with select scenes from Maddie. Discussions such the conventions of Greek theatre, issues surrounding mothers who kill their own children, mythological depictions of Medea are included.
